Starworld 5: Party at the Palace Report
General Summary
The group managed to parlay their capture of Han Solo into an audience with Jabba. He agreed to pay them the bounty, but questioned where Chewbacca was. They were granted access to his pre-race feast. They requested and were agreed to be able to sit with the champion during this feast.
Kvix was fluent in the champion's native language and made conversation throughout the meal. Jicelli conspired with her to distract the table while Oren switched glasses with him, having put a neuroblocker in her own drink. This drug was meant to slow his reflexes for the race on the following day. The group then retired from the feast and travelled back to Mos Eisley.
On race day they learned that their own racer was hungover, and not prepared to race. The group then acted quickly, putting R6-D6 into the pod and allowing her to pilot the thing. Still even drugged the champion made an impressive first lap, putting him far ahead of the other competitors. Only some foul play with the force allowed R6-D6 to bypass the other racers as Jicelli caused a rockslide that wrecked many of the competitors. On the final lap they were neck and neck with the champion and Jicelli managed to nudge the champion just enough with the force in order to give R6 the win.
They collected their winning and prepared to report back to Mr. E that the job was done. While at the track office they saw Jabba angrily through one of the Champion's crew off his balcony, while a man in a hat appeared to be collecting Jabba's prized slave girl from him.
