Sullust

SULLUST is an important frontier manufacturing planet on the border of the Outer Rim. Sullust is under Imperial control after a surprise attack by Admiral Pharazon of the Imperial Navy.   SOROSUUB SPACEPORT is a sprawling complex of stations and terminals in orbit of the planet SULLUST. Sorosuub is an immense manufacturer who has always been sympathetic to the rebellion, and is an important manufacturer in the New Republic.   The spaceport consists of a massive main station and many satellite stations with continual shuttle acces. These satellites include a large Republic military dockyard, several smaller civilian terminals, for ships of every size, and two deadly defensive batteries on the perimeter. Additionally, there is a large civilian station known as The Spire. There is a constant flow of traffic in and about the facilities, including many ships flowing to and from the planet surface. DOCKYARD An immense Imperial class Star Destroyer sits in the NR dockyard undergoing retrofit. It is one of only two such vessels captured by the NR.   THE SPIRE is a civilian station in the larger spaceport facility. The spire contains lodgings for travelers, as well as more boutique shops for those looking for more exotic wares. At the top of the   Main concourse OBSERVATION LOUNGE An unusually well crafted space, for Sullust and the NR in general, the concourse is a large round space with a wide elegantly arched ceiling, culminating in a magnificent technical sculpture high above the floor. Two thirds of the ceiling consist of large petal shaped transluminum windows, reaching most of the way down to the floor before sweeping back in providing a stunning view of the planet, which is currently glowing on it’s limb as planetary dawn approaches. The structure at the center of the ceiling is a collection of long hexagonal rods of gold, bronze, silver, titanium, copper, palladium hung clustered in the shape of an inverted cone. Six slender metallic buttresses reach out from the sculpture and run out between the windows before curling back into the space, dividing the rim into alcoves. In the center of the floor, many jets of water form a second cone reaching up to nearly meet the sculpture hanging from the center of the dome. Around the fountain in the center and inside the alcoves at the edge are scattered tables and seating nooks. A few droids scuttle about, vending food and drinks. Nestled between the fountain on the floor and the sculpture on the ceiling hangs a detailed hologram of the planet including representations of all the spaceport facilities and transiting craft.
