Dienar

Where most tribes established new homes and tried to integrate with their new neighbors, the Dienar tribe took a different route.   After escaping the massacre on their home world of Cathi, the Dienar tribe found their way to the Tapani Sector. Specifically, the Allandor System. Once there, they settled on the world that shares the same name as the system, the forested world of Allandor.   It wasn't long after arrival that the Dienar tribal leader ordered the battered ships scuttled. The parts were then salvaged as the tribe retreated into the denser portions of the Allandor forests.   The tribe isn't xenophobic. In fact, they maintained a regular trade with Tapani free traders that visited the world and now the members of the Jedi Order that call Allandor home. But they are very secretive about the location of their tribe's home, their numbers and details about their people due to the past conflict with the Mandalorian people.

Culture

Common Taboos

There is a general dislike and distrust of technology by the tribe in general. They forgo common weapons such as blasters, vibro-blades, needlers and the like in favor of spears, slings, slingshots, spear-throwers ( which they call kaopao'einai ).   The dislike for technology doesn't entirely extend to medicine, but it has been found the dienar "primitive" medicine makes such efficient use of natural herbs and resources that it can be on par with bacta and other medical practices used throughout the galaxy.

Common Myths and Legends

This myth or rumor isn't so much a myth among the dienar but about the dienar tribe itself. Rumor has it that the dienar use aspects of the Force to hunt. Though this is still unverified.
Template Notes   They have a -2D when using or dealing with all advanced technology, essentially anything beyond archaic or primitive items such as the spear, etc.   They receive a +1D with all primitive weapons such as spears, slings, and melee combat.
