Electronic Manipulation

While this was inspired by the game mechanics from West End Game's d6 system, it has been entirely rewritten to suit this campaign setting.

Effect

With this skill in The Force, the Force user is able to alter the circuits and programming of a droid, machine or a computer. However, this Force skill only allows alteration of existing programs. New programs may not be written or implanted using this ability.

Side/Secondary Effects

This power has the potential to draw the attention of the Dark Side of the Force.   If the alteration or manipulation performed causes the machine or device to harm to attack another creature, the Force user gains a Dark Side point.   Also, if the alteration or manipulation is performed on a droid or other sentient machine against that machine's will ( basically the Force user didn't ask permission to perform the alteration first ), the Force user gains a Dark Side point.

Manifestation

Roll the Control skill versus an Easy for non-sentient machines; Moderate for sentient machines ( such as droids Difficult for hostile, sentient machines (also droids this is modified for proximity.

 

Roll the Alter skill versus an Easy for slight alterations; Moderate for significant programming changes; Difficult for major reprogramming.
