Techno Union

During the time of the Republic, the Techno Union was one of the larger commerce guilds. It was a large coalition of high technology firms formed primarily of heavy manufacturing contracts and concerns. The Techno Union often lobbied the Galactic Senate on behalf of its members and attempted to ensure fair commerce between its member corporations.

During the Clone Wars, the Techno Union was one of the first guilds to pledge its allegiance to the Confederacy of Independent Systems. It was one of the major suppliers of starships and other weapons for the Confederacy cause. In addition, it was the Techno Union that was responsible for certain research and development projects such as tri-cobalt neutron torpedos and cloning experiments.

At the end of the Clone Wars, the Techno Union was dissolved when Emir Wat Tambor was killed at the hands of Darth Feyd when Feyd ambushed the Separatist Council with a squad of Advanced Recon Commando clones. Following Wat Tambor’s death, the major companies involved in the management of the Techno Union were imperialized, leaving the others to withdraw to the Corporate Sector region of space.
