Trad and his sister Verinia were put into stasis in 12704 (at ages 8 and 10 respectively) to protect them from the House Vormecetti-led Purge. They were found and recovered early in 12723 when the calendar would have had them aged 27 and 29, but of course they were still physically and mentally children.

Complicating the legal ramifications of this situation: any precedents set on the Vorpelagia siblings would also apply to the Imperial siblings, and vice versa.

Everyone seems to have agreed that they will simply not bring up the topic. Trad and Verinia will be treated according to the mental age displayed in their behavior patterns.

Everyone also seems to have agreed that the first violator of this unspoken agreement will face the full wrath of Countess Captain Cordelia Vorkosigan with Count Bodé Leobund Vormecetti's tacit support.
