In a reality where a single monk can save a couple hundred soldiers from hard radiation poisoning by absorbing all of that loose energy, where a lone Hypothesist uses supernatural powers of mathematics to direct the Pavia 3 colony in blocking the chaotic assault of Reavers, there are nearly as many ways of understanding one's place in the universe as there are cultures represented in the Tapani Alliance Senate ... including the very common Han Solo view:

I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen anything to make me believe there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. There's no mystical energy field that controls my destiny. It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.

Atheism may be a religious position, certainly; but in that case, it really needs no discussion.

Meanwhile, some religions in the Galaxy include the Orange Catholic faith in all its many denominations; the Church of the Force; the Catal; the Sacred Way; the Keshiri; and the unknown names of belief systems for cultures like the Noghri and the Mrlssi.
