Doctors log : I have spent the last three days In the body I am told of a young Togrutan, a male of the species. It's quite fascinating and quite scary at the same time. I feel and sense things that I have never felt before and I'm awakened to new scents. I feel the very vibrations in the ground. I hunger for meat that has only been partially cooked and though it seems disgusting to me, it is quite succulent when I sinks these teeth made for tearing flesh into it. Never mind how agile this male seems, but I digress. I've been back to study the chamber that was unearthed trying to find it secrets. I think back on my time with Mistress Belshanna at her temple. Her tea was lovely and those delicate cookie cakes and biscuits she seemed to have a never ending supply of were delicious to say the least. Did I mention I almost sliced off my own hand with the "light saber" as I was informed to call it before a very stern Jedi Knight VN something or other took them from me with a gruff "those are not toys", I now feel thoroughly chastised. I, a respected Doctor of no small renown to be treated like some small child...Really! I am sorry log I do digress again. The geography here has changed since last I was conscious and in control of my own body and noone will explain to me in a way that I can understand, How do you move an entire area topographically? It boggles the mind. I must get back to the North and finish my work and this body seems strong enough to get me there... Pish posh ... mustn't wake the sleeper. Why? I must find out!
Out of character
So, my character is going to try to get to the unearthed chamber and figure out it's secrets. When and if that fails the good Doctor is going to "borrow" a speeder bike late at night when everyone is asleep and head North. Stopping at the Bendo Temple for supplies and a look at an old unchanged map so he can figure out where he last was digging around. He'll try to get one of So'Zens light sabers back but if all else fails he'll just take So'Zens heavy blaster and hope that reflex memory will kick in when fight or flight response is needed. He has no skills so I don't think there are dice actions. If he get's caught it's not like he can do anything about it. He's a Doctor not a fighter. Plus, he doesn't know that So'Zen sucks with a blaster. It's just there for show, because a Blaster is such an uncivilized weapon. No elegance to it what so ever.
You descend down below the obelisk into the deep chamber. The entrance is noticeably wider. All of that was due to the four large transforming vehicle armored suits, what some have labeled everything from ‘veritechs’ to ‘battlemechs’ or ‘variwalkers, leaving the underground chamber.
Cobwebs and the dust of centuries assails your senses from the instant you descend the stairs. There is the sense of an unexplained presence. A feeling like you are being watched while you enter.
Holding your glowlamp high you see the long flowing script written in ribbons down the walls. Ancient beyond measure, you recognize this as one of the languages from the obelisk above! Searching your memories, you recover a name of an ancient people.
Which makes complete sense. The four founders of the Choni Techaugers were from the Eonae culture.
Now, the device in the middle of the room? You can tell its been altered many times. The original creators? You don’t recognize their writing but what you see there matches other of the messages above on the obelisk.
The later technology that was added? Yes, that can only be Choni Techauger work with their near mystical technological inventions. But it isn’t alone. You don’t know much about the secondary addtions that came later… other than to identity it was done by a Sith Alchemist. A master Sith Alchemist. Your Jedi associates have warned you to never tamper with Sith technology as it can consume the unwary.
… time passes in the dusty chamber …
You labor for hours working at the flowing script in the chamber. Much of it is a dialect you can’t quite dredge up the memory for. You manage to translate…
Shiftwave Rings
the make rings pay homage to the stars
what can make can also destroy
The three pillars of the Force show the way.
The rest? You just can’t dredge up those memories! It’s like you’ve been hit on the head or something! The late hour pulls a yawn out of you. Perhaps after some sleep.
… but yet …
Recovering the plasma swords proved far more difficult than you realized. You know the Jedi are perceptive. You’ve worked with one in the past. Yet, they are quite attached to those lightsabers! After two tries, you resign yourself to a blaster. They are simpler anyway, simple aim and pull the trigger. How hard is that?
Stealing the bike wasn’t difficult… yet… the model was nothing like you remember! So much more streamlined! It takes a few tries but you get the hang of it. Not difficult at all!
But, your efforts to retrace your steps were far more of a challenge. You remember ‘North’. You remember another obelisk. At least you think it was an obelisk. It was important! Why can’t you dredge up that memory? Maybe its the desert. You’ve never been fond of the desert, the sand and heat can play tricks on you.
Perhaps that’s why when you open your eyes, you realize you’re in the infirmary back at Port Etmar being treated for having been caught in a suddden thundersand storm.
