Zaye appears to be strong and self-reliant, but suffers from an ugly, ugly past. She has not been appreciated, nor has she felt safe. It's made her a bit alone and isolated. After witnessing how her bond husband reacted to her when she was hurt, I was strongly moved to get her out of that situation and gave her a choice for the first time in her life. She fears I will hate her once I learn more about her past and she thinks I am entitled to her back story. I stop her and tell her that while I am curious, I am not entitled. She is free to tell me what she wants when she wants.
Balance has been a philosophy driven home that she could not look away from. Her adopted father - Grakkus the Hutt - was who trained her to that philosophy. He will have something to say which I do expect. Grakkus tolerated her relationship with Vance Kerplocken after she refused to assassinate him. Our marriage is different in that I will have a voice in the Kajidic as she already has. Our first looming problem is that we will have to deal with dad sending in her sister to kill me. Her sister was raised by the Night Sisters until she was adopted by Grakkus. Zaye also mentions that if necessary we can create our own Kajidic.
I change the topic to the children and learn that the children's father died honorably and Vance was kind to them. They understand the honor bond marriages but will have to have this non-bond explained to them and Zaye feels that they will be fine with the change as they like and admire me. We will see how long that lasts..
Then she mentions that if necessary, we can always create our own Kajidic.
Children:
Weha Kerplocken Kolene, son, adolescent
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Weha has a natural aptitude for mechanics and droid repair.
Likes & Dislikes
Weha adores Vance Kerplocken. As a result, he is currently devoted to lightfoil fencing. He practices daily, using a drone given to him for that purpose by Jedi Knight So'Zen Al Saba.
Weha doesn’t trust Grandpa due to incident where he overheard an argument between Mom and Grandpa where grandpa was a little threatening.
Social
Family Ties
Parents:
Zaye Grakkus Kerplocken Kolene, mother
(( name not yet given; a Death Commando from the clan hidden on Chalcedon, killed in battle while defending Vance Kerplocken )), father
Captain Aerena Kolene, step-mother
Sibling: Kualia Kolene
Grandparents: Lord Grakkus the Hutt
General Vance Kerplocken, formerly bond-stepfather, now possibly "adopted uncle"
Spukamas, impending "adopted auntie" once they get properly introduced
Social Aptitude
Weha is naturally energetic, but he can be a bit shy in groups. The age of the group does not matter so much as being uncertain of what behavior would best
Kualia Kerplocken Kolene, daughter, pre-adolescent
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Kualia has already started to show a natural gift at balance and movement following the lighfoil fencing drills off the hologram instruction vid.
Likes & Dislikes
Kualia adores Vance Kerplocken. As a result, she is currently devoted to lightfoil fencing. She practices daily, using a drone given to her for that purpose by Jedi Knight So'Zen Al Saba.
To be fair: Kualia generally likes everyone on first meeting them.
Personality Quirks
Kualia exhibits the aggressively bloodthirsty traits common to many eight-year-old girls in noghri and human pre-adolescent development. Among the Death Commando clans known in the Galaxy, this phase is not perceived as a flaw. One merely hopes that the natural aggression becomes funneled through prudent wariness.

They are assigned the task of creating a way to clog the gears of the clocktaurs and they devise a great method using some quick foam. This was mostly Weha's idea and Kualia wanted to do something with droids. I tell her that if her mother agrees we can get her a lab to do things in once we are settled.
Kualia's Lab
Thinking about her desire to make small flying droids that could have an impact on the clocktaurs by getting close enough to disable them and allow blasterfire to have an effect. As I told her, she would need a droid to control them first and her mother suggested that we make sure that nothing gets in the lab unless there are blueprints and only the necessary components for what is being built.
I make a list for a full tool set and look for a small droid pattern that should be simple enough to build quickly, but complex enough to provide a challenge.
Star Wars: Shards is a work of pure, unabashed fiction. In fact, it considers itself rather heroic, noble, and quite proud of itself.
The opinions expressed on the in-world pages or within quotation boxes are those of the characters and should not be confused with either of the authors, since the characters and authors tend to disagree a lot. But … This is the Way.
Names of characters, places, events, organizations and locations are all creations of the authors' imaginations for this fictitious setting, except where credit is given to the sources of inspiration. Any resemblance to persons living, dead, or reanimated is coincidental.
