Nekghoul
Nekghouls are a more evolved and intelligent strain of rakghouls that have evolved in the ruins of Taris three centuries following the planet's destruction in 3956 BBY, where for a while they were the planet's only inhabitants. They were larger and much smarter than rakghouls, which suggested that they may have qualified as their own separate species, and they also stood upright, compared to the standard hunched stance of rakghouls. Nekghouls are also unable to infect or transform their victims.
What particularly set nekghouls apart from rakghouls was that they are Force Sensitive, though they are poorly trained and their violent response to intruders made them lean more towards the dark side. They are capable of speech but had no known history or record of their origins but it's possible that it was because they are descended from the Outcasts. This led to some speculation on whether they were Jedi or Sith infected with the rakghoul plague or perhaps the result of mutation caused from radiation by Taris' shattered reactors.
At some point of time, the Nekghouls obtained the Holocron of a Jedi named Bay-Yon Siu. For an unknown period of time, the holocron attempted to teach the Nekghouls in the ways of the Force in hopes of helping them master themselves, which resulted in some success. Eventually, Jedi Knight Danah Jor attempted to destroy the holocron and the Nekghouls as he believed that the Nekghouls were too dangerous to be kept alive. A Jedi Master named Angel Mallory was brought to the homes of the Nekghouls, encountering the holocron and the now imprisoned Danah Jor. She was then told of the state of the Nekghouls by the Holocron and the Jedi Knight Danah Jor, judging them according to their pleas and information given from both parties. After hearing from both sides of the debate, Master Angel allowed the holocron to continue teaching the Nekghouls in the ways of the Force as she freed the Jedi Knight from his imprisonment.
Darth Gravus's attempts at destroying the Galactic Republic's reconstruction of Taris led to the uncovering of efforts made by Jedi Master Sulan in attempting to turn nekghouls to the Light Side of the Force.

Transmission & Vectors
The Nek condition can be transmitted by a Nekghoul using the Force to alter anything on a Rakghoul (Difficult Perception roll, check once when first exposed to alter).
Causes
Unknown
Symptoms
As the condition takes hold of the Rak, they suffer from skull-shattering headaches, and wracking pain in their popping joints as they realign to a more upright posture. In the physical world, the burgeoning Nekghoul causes any manner of Force events, from flying cutlery to itinerant kilometer wide Force Storms.
Show spoiler
To determine what sort of powers manifest, the Gamemaster should roll control, sense and alter for the fledgeling Nek, based on what they figure will be the Nekghoul's maximum in each. Then, any power that the GM feels that the Nek might eventually know, will manifest at that level. For example, the GM determines that a changing Nekghoul will eventually possess 4D+2 control, 6D sense, and 5D+1 alter; rolling each the GM generates 22 (with the wild die rolling a 6 then a 4), 21 and 18. Now for the next 8D hours, the fledgling Nek will manifest random force powers that the GM determines that he will eventually possess at Very Difficult, Very Difficult and Difficult levels. When the 8D hours are over, the new Nekghoul rolls each "maximum" control, sense and alter against a Difficult (16) difficulty. If they succeed, they get 1D in the appropriate Force skill, +1 pip per point rolled above difficult. The above example would work like this; Roll 4D+2 (16), 6D (20) and 5D+1 (20), so the Nek begins with 1D in control (for 16), 2D+1 sense (for 20) and 2D+1 alter (for the same). He would also start with 1 control power known, and 5 of each sense and alter.
Treatment
None
Prognosis
Once infected by the Nek condition, the new Nekghoul must be trained in the Force or else they run the risk of being consumed by the Darkside.
Sequela
The Nek condition leaves the recipient Force Sensitive
Affected Groups
Hosts & Carriers
Only Nekghouls carry the disease though there are 3 known "carriers" Master Angel, Master Revan and Senator Anjelyna Mallory. These 3 are otherwise human in appearance but possess glowing green eyes.
Epidemiology
Force Trained Nekghouls using the Force on a mass of Rakghouls could result in an outbreak.
Cultural Reception
Nekghouls are highly feared and respected among the Rak. Only a Nekghoul can be a Jattaa, and better if the Nek is female.
