Notes, sidenotes and after thoughts

The rantings of a madman with no filter.

so the real source of "magic" in the storyline is the combination of radiation (The colored Mana as found in Magic The Gathering) and nanites that are found on each planet with a hivestone. The nanities follow the mental commands of the host (people, animals, whatever they can be found in.) and use the whatever radiation type to make it happen. This could mean the Nyxians are unknowingly Techno-mages (People who use technology to simulate magic.)   Xenagos might be my "Baal" in the storyline going further, I mean it would make sense even in MTG lore he's a reoccurring villain who knows how to scheme and conquest. I know the Slivers are the combination of Wraith, Replicators, and The Borg from Star Trek. I need create some leaders among them and flesh them out internally so I can get a deeper grasp on they will interact with my players beyond playing the brainless monster role.   I had been thinking of doing Japanese take on some of the "Grinding" ideas by having a special re-spawning dungeon area on each planet and make it apart of the trials for various quests. I need to make maps for these places.   With some of my NPCs I might need to flesh them out more especially the General. I have an Idea for the IOA side of the command structure but that will have to wait a bit. Woolsey is a good starter for the group but for for the long haul I will need someone with a bit personality and maybe a dual-role like being the SCNE's psyche/counselor.   Thought of some good modifications for the Atlantis city-ship, like having it separate into 5 parts for a special space and high altitude combat scenario.
