Life
Early Life
Chosen of Solara was born as a regular human some time before the arrival of the elves on the continent of Astra. He was the youngest of 3 brothers and wouldn't inherit anything. This is why he decided to dedicated himself to a temple. His hometown had a small temple of Solara (in that time people on Astra worshipped many different deities). He served under the head priest of that temple until the day the elves arrived. Sudden appearance of a more advanced people caused a lot of fear among the humans. The future Chosen knew that he couldn't just stay back and watch what was happening. He started to offer aid and moral support to the people.
Ascension
One night after the arrival of the elves he had a vision in his sleep. He saw Solara telling him to travel to the mountains and find the Sanctuary of the Sun. When he arrived there he saw a pool filled with pure light and heard Solara encouraging him to bathe in it. When he entered the pool, he felt new power surging into him.
Uniting the people
With his new power the Chosen was able to bring order to the panicked people. The Solaran Church became powerful institution and in a few years most other deities were abandoned by the humans of Astra. Many people were expecting the Chosen to wield both religious and political power, but as soon as situation calmed down and elves retreated to their enclaves, he said that Solara wants secular rulers to rule their people. From that point the Chosen was mainly a religious authority.

Special abilities
Powers
Being chosen by Solara has granted him special powers that no other person in the world has. His body is unaffected by ageing, diseases and any other ailments. His other powers include the ability to bestow blessings on people, heal people, ability to purify elements and the ability to see in darkness as in daylight.
Weakness
There are very few things that can harm the Chosen of Solara. Shadow blades are one of these things. Those blades are enchanted weapons blessed by Nox, the Lady of Shadows and Solara's enemy, to snuff out the light of the Chosen. Snuffing of the light would make the Chosen vulnerable and mortal. Luckily, no shadow blade has been reported for centuries.
Apparel & Accessories
Most of the time the Chosen can be seen wearing white clothes with golden ornaments. It is meant to symbolize the purity and light of the sun. During important public ceremonies he also wears a golden crown with a miniature sun attached to it.
Name
The name by which the Chosen was known before his ascension is a mystery to all. According to legends he stopped using it the moment he became the Chosen. It is possible that even he doesn't remember his name.
