Amplification Ring
These monuments are dedicated to the travelers of the galaxy as a symbol of exploration. These rings mark the fallen as well as the heroes who worked to discover and settle these planets. They are naturally powered to run for thousands of years. It goal is to allow travelers in dire need of communication to send out their messages to the galaxy.
Purpose / Function
With two main purposes, the monument is made to act as an amplifier for communications and to stand the test of time as a remainder to the ones who traveled into the unknown. It does this by using dark matter as it's conduit and powers the structure to amplify messages to nearly all known places in the galaxy. It also connects between different rings of direct and fast communication between the two rings. Many of these rings are kept in the important sectors or at the heart of colonies, so communication can be sent out went they direly need it.
History
During the first stages of exploration many explores would place communication nodes to talk directly with the ship along with marking locations they discovered. This was common place for humanity and was an adopted practice by the Tasinara. When the Assembly of Stars was formed, many of these nodes began to break down and the catalog of locations discovered was not as permanent as we once thought. As a result, the Assembly decided to create these monuments as permanent remainder of who has traveled the stars and where interstellar life has reached. Now they span many systems as beacons of exploration.
We recommend you visit the one on each planet. The locals usually try to find a way to make their unique and special. When they adapt it to part of their culture, it is truly a wondrous sight.
