Prelude
In the beginning...
In the year 2038 in Earth years, unknown to humans, another intelligent species (now known as Strions) came into existance on a planet in The Orion System. This planet (known as Strion) is home to shifting mists and strong winds that cause the planet's landscape to be ever-changing.This world was not made for us. It is too dark, too unpredictable, but we must do the best we can with what we have...
A changing landscape
This changing landscape caused issues for the Strions as they desperately fought to establish a permenant settlement. The strong winds caused the landscape to change and many became dissorientated and died in the wilderness. Meanwhile the thick mists made the planet hot and humid. Even while facing these barriers, the Strions fought on, to make their permanent mark on the planet.Nature Fights Back
During the Strion's fight, the mists became thicker and the winds became darker. Many were lost; never to return... Some suggested thhis was because they had angered Orion, the main star seen from Strion. They thought that if they appeased the star, that the planet would become tameable. In some ways they were right, but the lost still never returned...Outcome
Eventually the Strions found a way to live alongside the planet they were forced to call home. They adapted to the planet, and the planet adapted to them. They found ways to build their homes and cities in such a way that they would never become lost in the winds.Aftermath
In the years that followed, the Strions made the planet their home. They built many cities, villages and towns, and they learnt to live alongside the environment in order to grow food. They have lived there for many thousands of years now, in peace, because they learnt to adapt to the environment around them...Table of Contents
