Session #5 Report
General Summary
This week in Desert Desperation:
The group stirs in the morning after their fight with the Fey. After a talk with Amelia, Waldeyr convinces the party that they should escort the caravan back to Ur Zawr before risking a venture into the cave at Ur Paneel. The caravan limps back to Ur Zawr, gaining and camel and avoiding dangers of the desert. They are able to deliver what supplies remained at Ur Paneel and return the body of Malachi Dunestrider.
Upon return to the Rising Sun Tavern, Breubek al-Messa pays the party for a completed job. He shares information revealing the existance of an organization with the aim of upsetting the Zodaskhan Empire influence in the North. He shares concerns about the Fey Attack at Ur Paneel, potential compromise about the Empire, and the recent disappearance of travelers in Ur Zawr. Breubek offers the party future employment with promise of reward should they attempt to resolve any of these issues. The party collectively decides to pay the Ur Zawr cheiftain, Shiekh Khaleel al-Sheikh Min Futuwan a visit in the morning before they set out to investigate Ur Paneel yet again.
During the bar meeting, Chaaldeerx solicites Karlon the Barkeep for information. He reveals more information about Fuzzles, the parties companion, and discovers that the disappearing bodies are solo travelers. Inspired by this, he and Father Seymour set out into the night seeking a Brothel for more information.
They certainly find the Brothel easily, and in doing so they receives invitations to also visit the local worship house. Not long after arriving at the Brothel, however, Seymour makes a startling discovery: A Brothel worker is actually a literal creature of the night known as a Nos Feratu. The creature is calmed at first, and reveals she serves a person known only as Xandros. As the calming spells from Chaaldeerx and Seymour fade from the Vampire, she attacks.
