Disillusionment

Disillusionment is a condition that causes a devastating blow to one's will upon exposure to difficult truth or morbid reality. Although it can be considered a spell (induced magically), it is often acquired naturally or spiritually.
Magicians have spent centuries combating disillusionment, as it is a constantly evolving phenomenon. Some say there is no "cure" to it, and insist that disillusionment itself is the cure to something even worse.
