Admiral-Captain's Uniform
The Cellean autocratic space enforced rather strict uniform codes onto its Admiral-Captains of Cellea. Naturally, it was more relaxed for Sapient Synthetics, but even they had some rules. Humans, however, had very strict limitations.
Of course, with the logistics of interstellar travel, especially before FTL travel, meant that enforcing the code was difficult. So, many admiral-captains tended to be somewhat lax on their uniforms. Still, here is the intended, proper uniform.
Many were rather sloppy with their adherence to the code. Especially Stringer;
I mean look at this dude. It's so bad.
Generally, most of the iconography, while mandatory, was allowed some variance. The position of the various symbols could be shifted around the uniform, as long as it was visible enough. Campaign patches and medals, too, were such that they would only multiply with time. They'd have been placed usually on the chest.
There are many, many small ornaments and arrangements of designs with intricate meanings and complex histories, often specific to individual fleets. The grid-esque pattern is one such, and the arrangement and shape of the swords is determined by the fleet's individual traditions.
The laurels, too, were often customised with intricate details. Many held microscopic inscriptions describing that specific Admiral-Captain's heroic deeds or great stories.
