Dyson's Triumph
A collective name for all the habitats, around 78000, in the Sol system. Also known as the Sol Swarm. Population ~339 billion, though this is a bit deceptive. Due to the population of a given planet including orbital inhabitation, the populations of the planet and the Sol Swarm overlap. For example, Earth has a population of 110 billion, 42% of whom live in orbit. These people, around 46 billion people, are counted into both the Swarm's population as well as the Earth's. It's a Dyson swarm.
Geography
Extremely varied. Most habitats are O'Neill cylinder-esque rotating stations, the largest of which house around 5 or so million people. These habitats usually have an Earth-like environment and biosphere within them, with Earth fauna and flora. They vary in size and the degree of urbanization. Around the Sun proper, habitats have many purposes. While most have a primary purpose of habitation, they also have various accessories and equipment. The two most common ones are solar stations and starscooping stations. Solar stations are, well, per the name, stations with massive solar panel networks, capturing a lot of the star's light. Starscooping stations, well, scoop the star. This is done to harvest hydrogen for both power generation and fusion into heavier elements, which can be used for building materials.
Ecosystem
Varied, though the most common are light forests and grassy plains.
Natural Resources
Either the planet they orbit, an nearby asteroid belt section, the star, or whatever other resources the solar system has.
History
The first habitat was technically the Salyut 1, though the first purpose-built for habitation station was built in 2073. This marked the beginning of the Sol Swarm. Over time, the amount of stations grew, and the population grew with it. Habitats were often built early in any colonization process, especially above hostile worlds like Venus.
