Europa Computing Solutions

You know IBM, right? A major player in the electronics and information machinery department? Well, they still exist in the 29th century. In fact, they're even more prevalent and important. When it comes to their area of operation, IBM is the major player in the Sol system, and manages a whole host of child companies and subsections, some in other solar systems. While it's changed and been reformed a couple times, it's still very much the company we have today, if bigger.
The ECS, Europa Computing Solutions, is the result of IBM buying the moon of Jupiter, Europa. Or at least, staking a claim on it and defending it and keeping it theirs. They also paid some other military elements to protect it. Nowadays, Europa is unmistakeably owned by IBM.
The core idea is to, well, do computing in the extremely low temperatures of Europa.

Structure

Being a subsidiary of IBM, it's primarily headed by their leadership. Still, it has a separate leadership of its own, which manages more day-to-day decisions and reports to the parent company.

It's a private company, thus it makes money.

Assets

A lot of machinery and computer systems under Europa's frozen oceans. These machines are capable of doing a massive quantity of calculations and operations, and thanks to how colder computers are more efficient, these computers can do a lot of calculations with considerably reduced energy use. There's both regular computers as well as quantum computers, and both serve their own roles.
There's also installations like docking areas and general accomodations, even if the majority of the employees live in orbit. Around the planet, there's also a lot of satellites and even some defense platforms in orbit, just in case, you know.

History

Founded in 2143, some time after the moon was properly mapped in order to take advantage of the moon's oceans. Construction started properly in 2151, and surface bases were made. Later, the main computer arrays and such were installed underneath the surface, and they've been there since, expanding every now and then.

Trade & Transport

The main product the company produces is computing services. Scientific issues, administrative work, probability calculations and whatever else, the computer systems manage all kinds of data, and a customer, usually a bigger organization, can either rent a part of the computers or contract them for some task. These services are reasonably expensive to run for even a few hours, but due to the sheer computing capacity, if a task takes an hour, it is a massive one.
It also helps that Europa now hosts perhaps the most powerful computing systems in human space, only surpassed by potential Matriyoshka brains, which will likely not exist for a long while.
