Way for a Greater Purpose

A martial arts/CQC combat style developed in the Cellean autocratic space, originally from Cellea. Think CQC from the Metal Gear series, mainly MGS3. Incorporates a lot of elements from various martial arts and combat methods, like Judo, Sérima y Vadir Quica, and some more made-up styles. Judo isn't made up though. Due to the Cellean empire's divided and diverse nature, the style primarily emphasises an individual practitioner's skills and features; body structure, mental type, already known skills, and so on. This has resulted in most people having different styles and variations.
About the name, it is, as with most Cellean things, very pretentious and high-and-mighty. The Celleans had quite the ego.
Developed in the 2300s, during the Celleans initial expansion period as a reliable close quarters combat style for its soldiers. Nearly every member of the military was taught this, some, like high-ranking personnel or special forces members, more so. Stringer, Mad, Nex, Rexilis, and many other are very proficient in this, and Stringer and Mad notably still employ it today, even if only if their sword is knocked out of their hand or the like. Stringer also taught Quaken this at one point. He now uses it nearly exclusively.
The actual main moves consist of parrying your opponent's attacks, and then using either punches or kicks, or throws to deal more damage. While it certainly has a fair amount of defensive moves, the other influences allow practitioners to attack reliably as well. Other moves and techniques also include disarmament-related moves. A proper master of the techniques can be terrifying to fight hand-to-hand, even with a melee weapon.
