Melora is the god of the wilderness and the sea. She is both the wild beast and the peaceful forest, the raging whirlpool and the quiet desert. Rangers, hunters, and Elves revere her, and sailors make offerings to her before beginning their voyages. Her strictures are these: Protect the wild places of the world from destruction and overuse. Oppose the rampant spread of cities and empires. Hunt aberrant monsters and other abominations of nature. Do not fear or condemn the savagery of nature. Live in harmony with the wild. Melora is sometimes worshiped outside of the Dawn War Pantheon as Gaia the Earth-Mother. Melora is the goddess of the wild seas and the peaceful glade. She represents both the raging tempest and the quite breeze. She is equally a wild beast and a peaceful glade. She is both the best and the worst that the wilderness has to offer. Melora is allies with Avandra, Corellon, Sehanine and Pelor. She has a generally good relationship with Erathis, although the two goddesses have different outlooks. She is also rumored to be Kord's lover. She is enemies of both Tharizdun and Vecna who seek to destroy all the she hopes to protect.Divine Domains
