Coven of the Obsidian Moon

Existing right along the northeastern edge of the forest, The Coven of the Obsidian Moon works most directly and openly in collaboration with those from outside the forest. A larger concentration of ‘outsider’ settlements can be found in the Obsidian Moon’s territory, with Obsidian Moon witches traveling in and out of these settlements without trouble or care. Witches of the Coven of the Brass Mirror are rarer further in the north of Obsidian Moon's territory, but the line between the two parallel covens is less distinct than those between east and west and gets hazier the further south towards Brass Mirror you go.

Magical Heritage

At their coming-of-age ceremony, witches of the Obsidian Moon are given a small crescent moon pin, chipped and shaped out of pure obsidian.
Obsidian Moon witches draw their power from their direct surroundings to create their magic - using the grass at their feet, or the waxing moon above them, they channel the power within the here and now to affect things right in from of them. Their magic is focused on physical changes and manipulation of objects; making seen things unseen, large things small, moving objects from here to there.
