Nunpemi

Ruled by a silver dragon known only as The Source, the Kingdom of Numpemi is populated by the squid-faced Illithari. The peninsula that makes up the regions is home to “the thousands needles of Nunpemi”, a series of humid sea caves that bisect its raised cliffside from both sides, piercing it like the pin cushion of a long forgotten titan. The caves are the only environment suitable to raise the Illithari young. Before The Source’s rather abrupt conquest of Numpemi, the peninsula was a Timithain League state populated by a people renowned for their historians and record keepers,so much so that some would still consider The Woven Library, located in the capital of Copán to be the greatest repository of knowledge in all of Stolaria, despite it’s inaccessible nature as of late. Until their induction into the Platinum Union most people did not even know of the Illithari’s existence, the creatures able to exist by feeding off of the negative memories and dreams of the society above. It is unknown if The Source was who catalyzed their ascent onto the world stage, or something else entirely.
