Benyl  is a distinctly odd dragon, the offspring of a single tryst between the beautiful silver dragoness Ismelda, who is also the mother of The Source, and what is presumed to be a gold father. Benyl bears the long undulating wings of his unknown father but bears the shining chrome scales of his mother. It is highly unusual for a dragon to display such prominent hybridized features, as oftentimes they grow to most powerfully resemble the parent of their opposite gender. Benyl’s oddities don’t stop at his appearance as he is one of the few dragons who prefers spending time as a humanoid, Benyl often taking the form of a massive 6-foot-tall dwarf. Under Benyl’s leadership and the prosperity brought to the region by Ismelda before him, Ordeg is undergoing some sort of technological revolution. Traveling in and out with any of the Logitech developed is all but impossible and thus little is known about what is occurring under The Alloy Assemblage, the league of engineers and magicians supposedly driving the rapid innovation. Already the fearsome armored baloths have been seen in some of their skirmishes with the Numarian Empire. There are rumors circulating that the capital city of Lamberton will have its gates soon opened, for the first time in nearly 20 years, for a display of technological innovation in celebration of the arrival of Usume of the Shining Tower. The noble elite of every Platinum Union country early hopes to receive an invitation to this century’s Beacon Shining, the festival dedicated to celebrating the advances made in the last century and honoring Usume.

After the Violet Dawn, Lamberton went through a period of instability where magic was hard to wield and grasp, bringing New Lamberton to a screeching halt in terms of progress and day to day works. While important before, the 5 families of New Lamberton became, essentially, anew branch of government. During the rebuilding, Lamberton became New Lamberton. 
The The Families of New Lamberton serve as the present power currently, in conjunction with the parliament as Benyl has taken a much more subtle role in the day-to-day governance of the city.
