Holden Horne
Perhaps it was mere chance that Holden would choose her table in the Quicksand one evening, but no matter the whims of fate, the pair quickly formed a clear rapport. What began with a simple conversation of good-mannered fun eventually became a business deal— time and protection and in exchange a magical teapot for a friend and some gil besides.
Her current work brought her to Thanalan to collect seven hairs from a golden fleece reportedly seen near The Burning Wall. Holden agreed to escort her there and assist in the safe capture and release of one of the golden phurbles. Whatever else might happen on their journey would be for the Twelve to decide. Though they get along easily at the start much can change on the road, some for the good, and some for the ill.
Self-Sustaining Teapot of the Autumnal Stars
A rather ordinary-looking teapot complete with a matching base, made with antique bronze turned black in the crevices of the molded metal designs, and simple white enamel in a faint floral patterning etched into the smooth surface. While beautiful in a simple and antique way it is, by all means, ordinary-looking. Four orange crystals, polished smoothly into cabochons so they gleamed like captured candle flames, are set into the bottom of the teapot like little feet. The base of the teapot had four small holes that, when looking closely, had the same crystals set below the metal allowing the teapot and base to align and the eight crystals to touch. Adding hot water to the teapot when it was set in its base would activate the enchantment set on the piece causing the teapot's enamel embellishments to take on a gentle flickering glow as if the inside were filled with flames instead of water.
