Atfal Ashmedai
Structure
The Atfal Ashmedai are organized into independent chapters, which are each centered in a major city. Each chapter is ruled by a Dark Priestess or Priest, aided by four Infernal Deacons. Beneath the Deacons are the general laity.
Culture
The Ashmedaii work in secret. Each pursues their personal desires relentlessly, but always within the bounds of the law. In secret, they aid one another and work to undermine the more traditional religious institutions in their cities. A particular enemy of the the Ashmedaii is the the Qemishite Church, though virtually every faith on Corvalis finds the Ashmedaii to be evil.
Public Agenda
The Ashmedaii operate in secret, so they have no public agenda.
Tenets of Faith
- The will of Asmodeus is absolute. Fatima's commands are the expression of his will.
- Service to the Ashmedaii is second only to service to Asmodeus, himself.
- Service to one's self is the third highest calling in mortal life. Provided laws are not broken, notions of good or evil are irrelevant to the accomplishment of one's aims.
Priesthood
Fatima al-Ashmedai is effectively the High Priestess of the Ashmedaii.
Dark Priestesses or Priests are chosen specifically by Fatima for their devotion to Asmodeus, along with their displayed diabolical shrewdness.
Each Dark Priest or Priestess chooses their four Infernal Deacons from among their members.
