Queen

The title of queen is somewhat fluid in meaning.

In some realms, a queen is an imperial sovereign of great power and unquestioned authority. In others, she is merely the consort of a petty ruler. Other queens fall in various places on the spectrum between these two poles. What is certain is that, whatever the social context, a Queen is a female (always) of importance within that context. Her precise powers, influence, appointment, ascension, etc. is specific to her context.
