Catfolk

Catfolk embody all that is to be a cat, with a humanoid form, being incredibly social both in their tight-knit communities and with other races, and delighting in discovery, be it of a lost temple or a nice place to nap. They are exceptionally brave, willing to face adversaries far stronger than themselves, and see themselves as guardians of the material plane.    They have excellent reflexes and can catch themselves from almost any fall. They have mercurial temperments, often switching between gleeful joy and aggresive anger, and are known to purr when happy or growl when surprised or angered.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Catfolk raise their children in large extended families, allowing them a great deal of freedom from a young age. They will often learn a trade in a loose apprenticeship, and many will gain several trades over the course of their lives.   Catfolk communities or caravans are led by an appointed leader, who will act in the best interests of the other Catfolk in their charge. The leader is most often a female spellcaster, as Catfolk see magic as a connection to their god, the Cat Lord.   Catfolk will make elaborate shows of disinterest or leave a community for a time in regards to problems, hoping that the issue will sort itself out by the time they return.
