Inkanyamba

Said to be able to create typhoons and storms, Inkanyamba are considered forces of nature by most, and monsters by the rest.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Inkanyamba are eel-like creatures with a horse's head.

Genetics and Reproduction

A male Inkanyamba will travel hundreds of miles daily in order to find a mate, though they will always seek one in the same river in which they live. If unable to find a mate, they will whip up massive storms in frustration, using the typhoons they create to fly through the sky in search of a partner.

Ecology and Habitats

The males live in large rivers near waterfalls and are most active in the summer months, while the females are rarely seen, though are believed to be migratory.   Much is unknown about these creatures, as they are extremely elusive, only a few having been seen in the {Unnamed Area} region of the southern continent.

Behaviour

Extremely dangerous, Inkanyamba are fiercely territorial, protecting their stretch of river with their lives if necessary.
