Stone Angels

Haunting creatures that stalk those who mourn the dead.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Stone Angels are a sub-species of Gargoyles that, rather than the more grotesque appearance of their cousins, take on the form of beautiful statues reminiscent of those found in graveyards.

Genetics and Reproduction

Just like with Gargoyles, it is unknown how Stone Angels reproduce.

Ecology and Habitats

Their usual habitat is graveyards, where they are able to hide amongst the ornamental gravestones, and where their prey is usually distracted by mourning.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Stone Angels have a peculiar method of hunting: they will not move while being observed by a living being, only approaching when nothing is looking at them. That being said, they are incredibly fast and almost completely silent when moving, often catching up to their prey in the mere moments of the creature blinking or glancing away.
