Personal history

Born to Pirate Father and naval surgeon mother. Lived with many of the other kids at the Foresaken fortress.
Learnt how to fight, read maps, and sail from a young age
Worked on fathers ship for a few years at the age of 13
Requested to work on the Destiny after turning 18
Began learning how to lead a ship from Kim Hyeonu at age 22
Gifted the Aurora as her temporay captian at 23 and tasked with saving Hongjoong and continuing the reign of the Black Pirates
Been avoiding the navy and trying to find Hongjoong since.

Education

While Seonghwa has had no formal education his mother did make sure to teach him to read and write, a skill many pirates didnt share. He spent much of his time reading whatever he could get his hands on from novels to wanted posters, he made sure to hone his ability even taking to small snippets of other languages. Aside from his reading Seonghwa also took to navigation, sailing, swordplay, shooting and just about anything else that was taught to him. While his skills were never the best at any one specific thing he can easily hold his own in just about anything.

Employment

Seonghwa's first form of employement was helping his mother in her small clinic in the fortress. While he never did much of anything there, he did spend a majority of his youth as a receptionist of sorts as well as an assistant when it was needed. Once he was old enough his transitioned to working on The Lost Star with his father for 5 years where he worked his way through most areas of the ship learning as much as he could about how everything worked. Once he turned 18 he was invited to join The Destiny where he worked mostly with Captain Kim Hyeonu learning how to run a ship in preparation. When the naval presence became too much to wait any longer Seonghwa was given The Aurora to stand in as temporay captain. Currently he is the Captain of The Aurora.

Motivation

Seonghwa's prime motivation is the protection and wellbeing of his family, that being the Black Pirates, especially those on his ship. He is also motivated to follow through on the promise he made to Kim Hyeonu when he was put in charge of The Aurora. He is motivated to find and free Hongjoong and any other members of the Black Pirates that he may come across.
