Personal history

Born and raised in Eastvail rather isolated from the rest of the world.
Worked with his parents in trade to the nearby islands, including to Forsaken Fortress and the Black Pirates.
Never really understood the difference between normal folk and the Pirates
When they were attacked by a ship off the coast of Westfall, leaving him stranded on creaky rock, it was a Black Pirates ship that found him and brought him back to Forsaken Fortress.
With no family or way home he stayed at the fortress for a time, helping out where he could.
When Kim Hyeonu returned he took Mingi in and taught him what he could becoming a second parent to him.

Education

Mingi wasn't taught anything more than basic maths before he joined the Black Pirates. He helped on the ship, helped to sell items but otherwise lived very simply. After getting to Forsaken Fortress he began to learn Slivarian so that he could communicate better with them, and continued to learn more about the world when joining with The Destiny

Worked as a travelling merchant with his family in his youth and then with the Black Pirates
