Kvia [City]

The City of Kvia [CK] not only hosts the highest population in the Kvia Commonwealth, but globally as well. Its total population just under nine million [9,000,000] over a total land area of approximately 747.6 km squared [288.6 miles²], making it also the Kvia Commonwealth's most densely populated city. Kvia City is regarded as the central pillar in international economics, and a world trading center. Due to its enormous influence on the global economy and overwhelming size, many people regard the city as the financial, commerce, and media capital of the world, sometimes even referring to it as "the City" or "the Market". Including its 11,854 km² metropolitan area, the city hosts a population of 29,642,000. The City of Kvia acts as the capital of the Kvia Commonwealth nation state.
Situated on an enormous natural fjord, the city is protected from enemies by a steep mountain range system called the Beinn to the north and west, while the large bay stretches toward the Albina and Oskar continents, making it ideal for trade. Because of its situation, Kvia now hosts the worlds largest stock exchange by total market capitalization, the Kvia Stock Exchange.

History

Foundation The city was first founded as two separate settlements; Bàgh and A 'chiad. A 'chiad was founded by the conquerer Glenna Robb in 556, who believed the place to be the the original location of the six sister's arrival. Modern historians disagree however, many believing the true location to be at least 500 km² off the coast of northern Oskar. Bágh wasn't founded until much later, in the year 946 at Edan Bay, one of the world's largest natural harbors, with the intention of industrialization and exploration.
