Javenesh Stoutclaw
Javenesh is a grad student who originally introduced himself to Estere and Fanya at orientation day. He later played a role as Team Banshee's guide to The Nest, the settlement outside of Strixhaven University where older students go to enjoy the night life.
Javenesh accompanied Team Banshee to the secret Oriq hideout situated underneath Stripshaven in The Nest. He afterwards asked Estere on a date, which she agreed to, and has begun pursuing her romantically.
During the date with Estere, Javenesh revealed that he is an orphan from the Isthmus of Omens. He has devoted himself to Lorehold in the hopes of helping restore lost histories to other people as he cannot recover his own. He suspects his parents were drug addicts who abandoned him, or possibly even sold him.
Javenesh survived an attack by a gingwatzim in Team Banshee's first year, but was hospitalized by the creature.

Personal history
Javenesh is an imposing and powerfully built owlin aven who looks permanently scruffy despite his best efforts. Contributing to his dishevelment are tufts of juvenile plumage that refuse to smooth down, a handful of scars whose origin he's not sure of, and at least one hole in whatever clothing he's wearing.
Contrary to what people assume, Javenesh is a friendly sort. To make ends meet, he works at Bow's End Tavern, managing servers and keeping the peace, relying on his rough appearance to dissuade those intent on making trouble.

Aurora actually started playing at Bow’s End tavern when Javenesh heard her music and convinced Tulk ‘The Bulk’ Tusktooth that this genre was something all the kids were listening to now. He thinks her music is the next big thing.
Drazhomir didn’t like Javenesh at first, but for some reason, Javenesh persisted trying to make friends with him regardless. Javenesh has helped bring Drazhomhir out of his shell immensely.
Urzmaktok once helped Javenesh out by patching him up after a fight, so that he didn’t have to go to the on campus nurse and answer questions that would inevitably get him into trouble.
