Sagan grew up in a community of enlightened kobolds whose intelligence was accelerated by the underground snarl they lived near. Subterranean creatures from Arcavios's underdark emerged from the depths and killed nearly everyone. With nowhere else to go and nothing else to do, Sagan wandered, eventually arriving at Strixhaven University, where she decided to learn to avenge her people.
