Ashpile Hills

The Ashpile Hills are a spread-out ridge of volcanic cinder-cone hill volcanoes stretching across southern Tockotch, diagonally through the Firefields.

Geography

Hills of black, gravel-sized rock cinders, ranging in size and activity

History

The Ashpile Hills have been known to rise up unannounced, erupting from the ground, ruining forests and farmland, and igniting wildfires.  Their volcanic activity is often short-lived, but sometimes the older, dormant hills can suddenly erupt again, flattening the hill and creating a new crater.  The oldest of the hills are northeast, and the youngest are southwest, culminating at Fool's Hill.
