Fordwen de Aurbaai
Fordwen de Aurbaai is the mayor of Tulpdam. He is an older halfling male who is native to the region around Goldbay, hence his family name "de Aurbaai," which means "from Goldbay" in Old Tatschian. He is a ruddy-faced, strawberry-blonde-haired middle-aged man without a beard and with squinty eyes.
He is not fond of non-halflings and welcomes halflings moving from Wynmollen to come and live in Tulpdam. He has a rivalry with Poldervale's tulip-growers, who dominate the tulip and flower market.
Despite Tulpdam's name, it is primary a wheat-farming area and town. Despite the town's close connection with Wynmollen, acting essentially like a roadside suburb, Fordwen tries to make Tulpdam independent of Wynmollen, but is not very effective at changing anything. He at least gets to represent the suburb as its own town when it comes to hwell-level Tatscian politics.
