Goldstack
A goldstack is a stack of ten gold coins, bound in a tight cloth or paper material which is usually sealed closed. It is worth 10 gold of course, which equates to 1,000 copper (modern equivalent of 1,000 dollars). Goldstacks serve as a way to easily count gold when dealing with 10 to 100 gold coins. Goldstacks are sometimes used by merchants, but not commoners, who usually simply keep a sack or purse of coins.
