Mistveil Tablelands

The Mistveil Tablelands is the name of a region of Orze Hwell's interior, consisting of a rocky highland of low-shrub plants, lichens, and rocks, with a few ponds, lakes, and streams. It is characteristically foggy almost year-round, covered in dense fog which makes the region difficult to map and travel.
Abandoned temples, ancient towerposts, and magical lakes abound in the region.

Geography

Steep rise to a highland plateau of dark rock, few plants (low shrubs), and scattered pools and ancient ruins, all obscured in dense, perpetual fog.

Cloud mirages, light phenomena, magical lakes and ruins which seemingly shift locations and disappear

History

Rumors, myths, and legends abound, as the highlands used to be the grounds of an ancient kingdom of men, steeped in magic, which did not succeed in capturing all of Orcli (not the "Age of Man").
