New Anvil
New Anvil is a dwarf mining town centralized around a human-made castle in an idyllic mountain valley. Stone is sent to across the mountain and transported to Cannaton for sale and export. Governed by the dwarf Prince Heddfa Halcorver, the town has close yet complex connections with the dwarf capital city, Aldanbeld. Dwarf loyalists of King Horgen hold the belief that all dwarves should live on the Brontesian Mountains, so even living a short distance away is seen as an insult to the king. Prince Heddfa, aware of this but also aware of dwarves living beyond the Brontesians needing ethnic leadership, piloted the construction and development of New Anvil, which grew quickly and which also led to the rise of Cannaton as a sprawling port town thanks to the stone.
In the past, New Anvil's white stone castle was built by a small human kingdom of agricultural builders, whose people established agriculture along the Utzukutch River.
Today, the residents of New Anvil are almost entirely dwarf, despite the departure from dwarvish beliefs and culture.
