Sweetlake

Sweetlake is a lake located to the north of Wynmollen, which extends up to the lake and whose suburbs expand around slightly. Sweetlake is a spring-fed lake famous for its high quality, fresh water, for which it gets its name. Surrounding flowers and the smell of grain, malt, and mash from the nearby gardens, silos, and breweries scent the air of Sweetlake, adding to its name and attracting pollinating insects like butterflies and bees. A network of windmills and irrigations canals spread the fresh water throughout the otherwise dry region, turning land formerly only suitable for hay and brush into arable farmland of wheat, vegetables, and flowers. Boats and ferries can be seen crossing the lake, and a lakeside beach is often filled with jubilant halflings enjoying the water on warm, sunny days.
