Castrum Sankt Parvis

Castrum Sankt Parvis was the castle and seat of government of the city of Zwistroad. When the city was incorporated into Styx the castle was repurposed and became the city’s largest hospital and asylum. Now Sankt Parvis, named after Saint Parvis Septima who could cure incurable illnesses with a single touch, is a place where the sick and ill are tended to. The hospital employs both magickal and mundane healing, using alchemical and mundane herbal cures to treat wounds, diseases and illnesses of the body and the mind. Due to the city of Styx providing free healthcare to all inhabitants be they citizens or not and the complex legislation determining which procedures and treatments are covered by this the hospital is always at the verge of collapsing under the sheer amount of patients it treats. Frequent outbreaks of pox, measles, flu and other plagues and blights add to this exponentially, many citizens are turned away from the hospital unless their ailment is deemed most critical leading to under-access to healthcare. Most citizens of Styx know that without a few vouchers to trade in or coins to spend it can take years to access the treatment one would need in the hallowed halls of Sankt Parvis. The hospital treats not only the physically ill but also those afflicted with conditions of the mind and soul, its asylum wing providing a refuge for many. Though rumors of mistreatment of those under their care persist the Temple Parliament maintains that the Parvian Saints are to be left to do their business unbothered by the state.
