Men who love men have historically faced a lot of prejudice in Styx.
Society found the notion that two men with no woman in their relationship were a viable option and the idea of two or more men raising children without a woman to lead their household seemed ridiculous to many. Saintsknight or Pyrelian (after Knight Pyrel the Just, a follower of Saint Everyn the War Maiden) is what men who love men call themselves. Pyrelians have gained legal recognition with marriages between men being allowed following the Great Revolution but prejudice persist and many still fight against it in the Union of the Marginalized.
