Silkspiders

Silkspiders are housecat sized spiders which spin webs of a type of spidersilk that is widely used in the weaving industry in the city of Styx.

Spidersilk is more durable than wool and much more elastic than other kinds of textiles and is therefore extremely valuable to the people of the Deeplands.

Silkspiders were first domesticated during the time of the Sumraki-Ashaī conquest of the Deeplands and have been a prized livestock ever since.
