Warlock

For some, the trials and tribulations to learn magic prove too much, and they must turn to other sources to gain the power they seek. Warlocks are people of devotion and drive, that will not let any obstacle hinder their progress, selling themselves to a higher being is just another step of the journey.

A man whispers to himself about the unfathomable being he has reached, his mind wanders between thoughts in less than a second. Constantly changing what is being said, almost overlapping, he quotes events and creatures he's never seen as if he was a witness
Gavin Presrora, Under War-lock and Key

    Qualifications

Warlocks are given power, they do not cultivate it. As a result, anyone with the right connection to a patron may become a Warlock.   A warlock maybe certified by Certifiying bodies (such as Certification Bureau) as their abilities are magical and tested on the capabilities of the spells, not the source of the magic

    Career Progression

The progression of a Warlock is decided at the time the deal is made. Differnet Patrons allow their minions different levels of freedom and choice over their own affairs. As a result it is difficult to say what will become of the Warlock immediatly after the deal.

    Other Benefits

Warlocks are able to gain the abilites equal to years of study for other classes, almost instantly, at a substantial cost of course.

    Perception

    Purpose

Warlocks occupy a similar place in society to all other spellcasters, selling their services or using them for their own desires.

    Social Status

Within Magic circles, Warlocks are seen as untrustworthy due to their ties to unknown patrons, not to mention the jealousy of their instant powers over the hard work they have spent cultivating theirs.
