The Lugen, Alnea

  • The inhabitants of Lugen Island make their profit off the passing shipping lanes controlled by the Transnational Trading Company, by selling their extremely valuable magic ore at high prices.
  • Magic ore is useful in a plethora of ways, from construction to armor and weapons, there is never too much magic ore to be had. In fact, there has been and always will be a magic ore shortage due to the low supply and immense demand for weapons and armor that can absorb and use magic freely.

The Lugenese

  • Small towns dot the tiny volcanic islands, where magic concentrates at the top of the volcanoes in large clusters up to one ton in weight.
  • The people are friendly but shy to newcomers. They made an agreement with the TCC in order to exchange their goods for supplies and protection against invaders, who have tried and failed multiple times to take the islands.
  • The Lugenese do not use or like magic at all, as it goes against their religion. They're grateful to get rid of magic ore that forms on their holy sites and is happy that they're getting paid handsomely to do a job they would've done anyway.
  • They rely on trade for basic materials such as iron and oil, as those do not form naturally on their island-like magic ore does.

Their island

  • The Lugen islands are extremely difficult to navigate to, as the congregating magic on the top of the volcano makes the rest of the island nearly invisible to the untrained eye.
  • Ports are impossible to build due to the geography of the island, so Lugenese boats travel out to the shipping vessels with crates of ore in exchange for whatever goods the trade ships are carrying, making their island nation a very wealthy isolated place.
