The Morning Sun
The oldest star in Summers' Grace sky is as red as blood. It indicates the beginning not only of the day but also the burden which lasts on this world. Everlasting light turns red once every morning.
Geography
Looking up in the morning hours a red circle pushes itself into the sky. The morning sun drowns the surface in red light and purple shadows. Over the year it's colour changes from a slight brown to a dark orange, but only to regain its redness once more.
Natural Resources
The sun itself emits a special radiance during a very short period of time every morning. Followers of Ood experience a resurgence in energy during this time, negating their need for sleep or rest. People see this as Oods order to his clerics to spread his word and root out evil in the little dark that still exists.
History
People have looked to the morning sun since the first civilizations emerged. It is told that Ood, the god of wisdom, gave his single eye to illuminate the morning hours. This way he could keep watch over the people and never miss a thing. But the blood lost during the eyes' removal turned it into the red seen in the sky. This clouded its sight and distorted its observation so that the peoples actions performed in good faith were perceived as acts of evil. Ood was disappointed at the evil which apparently took place and thus decided that he had to protect the people from themselves. Thus, he created three more stairs to circle the planet, never to let night take hold of its surface. To not let the shadows conceal evil and darkness hide the wicket. From this day on the people lived under constant light, causing large catastrophes. But they learned to live with it, worship it and hope it will lose its red colour and clear Ood's vision.
