Founder's Stone Inn

A sign over the door to this two-story stone building depicts a stone on the top of a hill. The Founder's Stone is more than just a popular tavern and brewery—it’s a shrine to the Wanderer. Its proprietor, a Tordic Innkeep named Leon Galand, kept the inn open during the plague and regails visitors with storied of Engleher's founding.
Galand employs a middle-aged Tengu Alchemist named Kabiko as the Founder's Stone's Brewmaster. If Kabiko’s misspent youth aboard a half dozen pirate ships in the Marianan sea gave her anything, it was a fondness for unusual alcohol. Now well into her twilight years, Kabiko likes inventing new drinks for locals and visitors to enjoy. The two most popular drinks currently are a spiced pumpkin rum and a sour blackberry ale. Of last month’s somewhat disastrous attempt to brew a goblinpepper stout, she prefers never to speak.

The sight of an inn is a welcome one to any weary traveler. Innkeepers can often be found cleaning the common room, overseeing the evening meal, or settling in new lodgers. Innkeepers keep an eye on their neighbors' doings and are often excellent sources of information.

Special Abilities	Font of GossipThe inkeeper's business gives them insight into the neighborhood's happenings. When Gathering Information, a person can gain as much information chatting with the innkeeper for 30 minutes to an hour as they would gain from 2 hours spent canvassing the neighborhood. Each person can learn gossip from an innkeeper only once per day, and only if the innkeeper is friendly or helpful to that individual. Whatever information the innkeeper knows about a given topic doesn't change if someone else asks the innkeeper about that topic, unless the innkeeper has since learned more. Home Turf An innkeeper gains a +2 circumstance bonus to attack rolls, damage rolls, and AC within their inn.

Kabiko Magiloy (CG female tengu brewer 4, Indifferent, Perception DC 21, Will DC 17). If Crow’s Casks supports the heroes, Magiloy might hire them as taste testers—a job that’s quite a bit more harrowing than one might expect. A taste tester can Earn Income using Fortitude saves, but on a critical failure, something they’ve tasted sits poorly and the hero becomes stupefied 1 for 24 hours
