A precinct is made up of 3 Watches that work together to secure their area of responsibility.

• The First Watch is the most esteemed of the precincts watches they are employed during the watches most visible hours and usually free to participate in most civic holidays
• The Second Watch is the precinct's workhorse, employed during a settlement's rowdiest hours after the workers are released from their duties before they go down for the night.
• The Third watch is employed during a settlement's most vulnerable hours, they watch over their charge while they sleep and pass the keys of the city back to the first watch at dawn.
