Khetom

Khetom is on the southern edge of the desert, straddling a pass in the Dustwall and providing a stopping point for caravans passing through the Sahuul Desert.
A squadron of Durpari Airlancers is based in Khetom, under the command of lieutenant Jamal el-Shafi, reporting to Captain Ashuk Masani.
The town has a population of about 1,600 permanent residents, and water use is strictly controlled to ensure the aquifers which feed it are not overdrawn.
